Is it possible for me to define a new region and place that region in between the main page content and the comments?

I want to add a block that has social media icons to the end of my blog posts, and I want that to be after the blog posts but before the comments get rendered.

I was able to create a new region, but not sure how to print the contents in that position.

I was able to accomplish what I wanted by using the code found here and creating new regions
