The shrop machine emailed me the other day with some ideas, one thing he brought up was spam protection.

Shrop:
3. What are you thinking on spam prevention? I have been using http://drupal.org/project/honeypot and http://drupal.org/project/hidden_captcha. Not sure what is best, but would be great to not have to have a catpcha where folks have to enter stuff. Mollom is an option too I guess. What do you think?

Me:
I'll take a look at them, I like captcha + recaptcha, but I really prefer for the end user to never experience a captcha. I really like the idea of honeypots so I might go that route. I've had mild success with Mollom, I'm just not really a fan of their free subscription.

Shrop:
yeah.. I added honeypot to my personal blog yesterday. I will let you know how it works.. So far so good and I was getting lots of spam each week.
