I am using Node clone module to clone nodes. Node clone module sets it to old node's moderation state and doesn't respect default moderate state. How can i hook alter to change state when it's a new node.

I'm new to this module, just trying to evaluate it for a site, hence scanning the critical open issues.

This one is a support request and so doesn't seem like critical as per the definition https://www.drupal.org/node/45111.
