Following my failure to solve the weird problem created by messed up settings (http://drupal.org/node/15503) I'm in the process of rebuilding my drupal instalation from scratch.

Can anyone advise me on whether I can simply exort and then import the nodes table from my previous database / backup? Ditto for the blocks table? (I would use myphpadmin for this task)

I tried something like it earlier and some of the blocks didn't seem to take, perhaps there are cross-links between the tables?
