I know how to add the View Mode Switcher to the Search Result display, but is there any way to add/apply a single View Mode Switch link/instance to the entire Search Result page? So instead of switching view modes on each result, you would switch the view mode for the entire page.

On ebay and other sites (home searches, etc) you normally see the option to change the view for a whole page. With views in Drupal you could just create a view that is a gallery, and a view that is a list, etc. and have those each have their own page handle. With Search results we don't really have this option so allowing a view mode switcher for the whole page would be really handy.
