HI There,

Firstly great module. May it go from strength to strength.

There is not much documentation on this so... It seems that a node is picked up and sent out by a term that is selected in the template. The vocabulary that the standard template uses is tags. I have tried to use a different vocabulary, setting up one specifically for newsletters, adding a field to the template with that vocab in it and and then using terms in the newsletter vocab to select the relevant nodes to send. This does not seems to work and only matching terms in the tags vocab result in the relevant nodes being chosen.

Any insights would be most welcome.

Hi Rob,

I have been encountering similar problems like you. Here is how I managed to make it work:

  • Deactivate and uninstall the module
  • Make sure the taxonomy vocabulary that you want to use for your module is created
  • Make sure the content type with the vocabulary from above is created (don't know wether this is really necessary at this point)
  • Activate the newsletter module again and start with testing the default created example list.
  • Don't try to remove the taxonomy term references (templates -> manage fields). I think this caused my issues.

I don't promise you anything, but I have it working like this. I use this module in conjunction with HTMLMail.
