I'm writing up some documentation for Getting Started with OpenLayers in Drupal 7 and I thought I'd point out the confusing aspect of having two sets of vertical tabs that are Layers & Styles. Can we find some more unique way to describe one of these sets of information?
Perhaps vertical tabs in the Map tab need to be renamed to just Settings, as it is clearly more than just Layers & Styles, right? It's also projections, data fields, & also layer options & default styles.
It's just too confusing though as it is right now in V2.

ifrikI agree that it's confusing, but the other vertical tabs are settings as well.
We should find a way to make it more obvious that there are styles that can be used by all maps (and which have settings themselves as well), and style and other settings of the specific map.

What do you propose then ?

ifrik"Layers & Styles" cannot be renamed because it is exactly that: the layers are as they are in the general list of "Layers" and the styles as they are defined under "Styles".
I close this because for now because nobody seem to find any other way to name them.
