I saw a fair amount of about.me sites :) It seems a lot of people combo about.me with tumblr as a quick and easy set up.

I don't think it's helpful to look at the current pages, because that does not answer the question of what people would like to publish on their about pages...?

You've lost me. I can't think of a better representation of what people would like to publish then what similar people are already publishing?

Do you mean only interviewing people who don't have personal sites?

Title:Design Research: About/Info Pages for web folk» Research: About pages

Sorry, I was in a hurry yesterday. My thought was that those people might actually want to publish more on their about pages, but don't know what or how or don't have the technical skills to do so, but nevermind, this is helpful, too. I also did not fully realize that this is about the about page only.

Thanks for doing the research!

I wonder whether the results would tell us more if we would put them into a matrix/table, with names/sites left, and "content types/items" as columns?

Basically the same as we did for the high-level use-case and feature analysis in #1399188: Analyze common functionality and content requirements of use-cases - perhaps also using a Google Doc, since HTML tables are kind of a pain to edit ;)

For this, I'd suggest to collapse any kind of work/achievements listings into a single CV column. I'd also suggest to leave out all the about.me pages, since they are technically constrained to the features of about.me and are not really the official portfolio sites of the respective people -- e.g., http://jacine.net is Jacine's actual web site; same goes for Lisa Rex (also, do you want to add Leisa Reichelt?).
