I was searching for a solution to 'hide' the images until they load and ran into this solution:
http://drupal.org/node/1386248. The drag is that this was developed for D7 and I am not planning on migrating to D7 until the modules catch up.

I have deployed this using a specific content type and view as described by several video tutorial that I have watched. So far I am pleased with the results except for the 'stacking' of images until the script starts. I have limited the number of slider images to 5 for the time being, but I was planning on going up to 10, but probably no more.

Is there a chance that this 'fix' can be backported to Drupal 6? I looked at the patch and I am a bit hesitant to deploy this since it was not tested by the developer.

I'm also interested in this. Is it fixed in the latest dev already? I installed the dev and added the change to the tpl.php file from the referenced issue (not sure if that was necessary or not), and I think it has solved the problem...

This should be resolved when #1307236: views_nivo_slider bundles MIT licenses JS for D6 go in, when we've a D6 maintainer.
