HI,
a long time ago I wrote a VERY basic CMS for a local Greenpeace volunteer group in Germany..
http://gruppen.greenpeace.de/lueneburg/
In the meantime the group has grown slightly and has learned a bit more about features offered by the new web - instead of scripting a new CMS I hope to transfer the content of this page (copy and paste) to a new drupal site.
But for now we want to keep the layout.
Do you have any recommendations what would be the best approach to create a new custom theme from this layout?
- What would be a good theme to start from?
- Where do I find an overview of the different menu names etc? Like a cheat sheet or something?
I'd be gratefull for any recommendations and hints,
thanks a lot

some more details
Yes, I'm working on simply porting it - but it seems very difficult...
Currently I try to adapt the Zen-fixed theme, since it has 3 columns, as my original design had.
Question are:
- where do I put my CSS adaptions, since Drupal seems to provide some style files - or do I just fiddle arround in my theme?
- On my original page I had three subpages, that only list the articles that match a certain criteria. Is this somehow possible in Drupal? Let's say I want to sort my articles in 4 categories and 5 subcategories each ... somehow I'd like to reconstruct the menu structure to resemble this...
Any ideas - anything?
Thanks a lot
