Upload does not popup, causing garbage in File Browser display

I've spent a day trying to resolve this ... any ideas you may have will be appreciated. See the attached screenshot for a view of what is happening.

When I am in the File Browser and click the Upload button, garbage appears because the Upload does not popup. To upload a file, we must collapse the hierarchy in the File Browser before clicking on the Update button.

We are using the IMCE Wysiwyg API bridge 6.x-1.1, Wysiwyg 6.x-2.4, jQuery UI 1.7.3. It happens in all browsers.
