Great work on this, by the way. Delighted to now have machine translation up and running for an international education project I'm working on.
Any chance that you'd be able to code up a plug-in for the new version of the Google Translate API, for those of us who are willing to fork out the $20 per megacharacter?

BerdirWe can provide help and reviews for someone who is interested in working on this, we currently have no time to work on ourself I guess.
This should in general be very similar to the existing Microsoft translator so that can be used as a starting point.

BerdirWe should have an initial version of this published soon, I've created a sandbox project, moving this issue over there.

BerdirInstalled and tested locally, works well, great!
The Google Console API link in the description doesn't seem to work, the link look's like this to me: "http://d7/admin/config/regional/tmgmt/translators/manage/@url".
The only other thing I noticed is that there seem to be some html encoded characters in the response that weren't in the source: "& quot;Mes que un club& quot;". (added space myself to avoid displaying as " in the browser)
I am however not sure if we can easily fix this because they might have been in the source as well. So let's leave it like this for now, you can always fix this yourself in the review.
Can you update the project with a list of the features (have a look at the microsoft page for inspiration) and fix the link, then we can make this a full project and release a dev snapshot.

BerdirOne more thing. Some of the docblocks in the plugin class still have the auto-created docblocks without actual documentation. Please update them accordingly to http://drupal.org/node/1354#functions. For example the doRequest() method. You could also copy from that method in the Microsoft Translator and change it a bit.
