Creating paging for book pages

Hi, I am creating my content using book pages. Some of such pages become pretty long and require scrolling down. I would like to create paging of such material. Something that will break pages on smaller pieces and show them on different screens when users click on page number or links "Previous" / "Next" somewhere at the bottom.

I tried using module Paging, but that did not work. I inserted the code (

) in places where I wanted the material to break and go to the next page, but that did not provide required results and the material remains on one page.

Can you suggest a module or a way to accomplish what I need?
