Since it's rather hard to explain but i'm gonna try to show you how the content gets printed on my site:

Original Post - is marked as #1
Reply to OP - is marked as #2
Reply to post #2 - is marked as #3
Reply to post #5 - is marked as #4
Reply to post #5 - is marked as #5
Reply to post #9 - is marked as #6
Reply to post #12 - is marked as#7

All the post numbers are messed around like that.

If you want to see how it in more detail, here's a link to a devel generated forum post on the site:
(site still WIP so it´s very rough right now)

It's mostly in Icelandic but the "Svar við #5" is translated to "Reply to #5"

If anyone knows what i might have done to cause this or knows a solution, i'd love to hear it.

Fixing the title to make it clearer. The post numbers themselves are fine; it's the reply-to jump link that has an issue.

Seems i didn't do a proper search before posting the issue. Found a similar issue here:

Most likely a problem related to me using devel generate for the forum content. Gonna do some manual posting to see if that doesn't solve the issue.
