Hi all -

I have seen the posts on this topic. I have the following modules - image, Image_attach, Image Gallery, Image Import and Upload image. Yet when I try to upload an image, I get this -

Uploaded file is not a valid image. Only JPG, PNG and GIF files are allowed. - Again. But I have all of the Image Modules

What combination of these should I be using and how should I be implementing this?

Any help would be GREATLY Appreciated.

Thanks!

G.

What method are you uploading with? Are you using the upload.module to attach images to nodes in the "File Attachment" section of the node creation page?

What image format are you trying to upload?

For example, by default, the file upload settings in Administer > Site Configuration > File Uploads only allow files with the following extensions: jpg jpeg gif png txt html doc xls pdf ppt pps odt ods odp. You can, of course, change this in the settings page. This only applies if you are using the simple upload.module. That's why I need to know exactly where you are trying to upload this image.

Hey Caleb -

I have tried the upload.module, but I also have the image_attach module as well. I have been trying to upload gifs to the site.

If I just use the upload module, should I disable any of the other modules?

What method are you uploading with? I'm open to suggestions.

Are you using the upload.module to attach images to nodes in the "File Attachment" section of the node creation page? Yes

Hi,
I'm also trying to figure out how to mass import the images as I've configured the image import module. I know it sounds stupid but I don't see how it works. Where do you go exactly if you want to import your images?
Thanks,
MP.

Hi all -

I decided to use the upload module, use a relative link in the submit section and an absolute link in the temp section. Lo and behold, it worked. Happy times! :)

Thanks to Drewish, who suggested the idea in a different post.

Hey people of the page,
I can get a jpeg uploaded as an attachment to a node, but it won't recognize anything else. it goes thru the motions of uploading, but it isn't in the folder if i FTP in and it isn't on the page...
There is a list of files on some PHP page i found that is supposed to govern the formats, but the list (which as actually default to allow many more) doesn't allow them.

I don't know what the submit section and absolute link stuff refers to, but I think it is something different.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Greg
