joe_pixelrow CreditAttribution: joe_pixelrow commentedI also would like a D7 version of the elastic email module, when might this become available?

mike.davis CreditAttribution: mike.davis commentedHi, I'm new to Drupal, but I have built systems that used the Elastic Email service before so this interested me as a way to get started :).
I have been working on a patch for this which should be available soon.

Comments appreciated.

joe_pixelrow CreditAttribution: joe_pixelrow commentedMike thanks for making the patch.
I tried to apply the patch but got two rejected chunks that could not be applied.
If you have a working version of the module for Drupal 7 please post it.
If you re-role the patch I can try again and report regardless.
Thanks,
Joe

mike.davis CreditAttribution: mike.davis commentedJoe, thanks for the feedback ... I'll have a look at this to see this might be.
I did manage to apply it to my drupal 7 test site, but I will check this again and re-post an updated patch.
Thanks
Mike

mike.davis CreditAttribution: mike.davis commentedHi Joe,
On investigation I think that these errors were due to applying a patch against the 6.x-1.0 version (when really this should be a new version of 7.x-1.0) as there were changes to the .info file and a file that I removed as it was no longer needed, which seem to be causing problems.
I have therefore attached a tar.gz file with all the files needed for a 7.x-1.0 version.
Let me know how you get on with this.
I'll probably contact the module maintainer to see what is happening with this as he doesn't appear to have been doing anything with this for over a year.
Thanks
Mike

joe_pixelrow CreditAttribution: joe_pixelrow commentedHi Mike,
I tried your last version with the latest mail system module 7.x-2.34 and its finally working now!
Thanks so much.
I just added elastic email as a solutions partner on my merchantmarketers.com website now that I can incorporate your service into my e-commerce sites.

mike.davis CreditAttribution: mike.davis commentedHi Joe,
I have created an official 7.x-1.0 release now which is available to download.
This is pretty much the same as the tar file I provided, but please download it and let me know if there are any issues that you find. If you do find anything, could you raise them as separate issues against the 7.x release, then I can get them fixed and updated in the release.
Thanks
Mike
