I have NO idea on where to place the hook or what it should really look like. Could someone please upload an example. I'm simply trying to pull some of my own videos. nothing special. But I'm a true novice. Thanks a lot.

So that we can help you better - where are you hosting your videos? Do you have them on your personal computer? or are they hosted somewhere on the internet?

To give you an initial answer, you'll need to create a new module and implement the hook inside the .module file.

My videos are on a my godaddy hosting account. I am looking for the solution to where I can paste in my url and have the video playback. So far I'm an unsupported provider. Not sure how to get around this.

Hopefully the answers here: #1418432: add a content provider answer your question ( i see that was your issue also ).

Basically - for reference - This module only supports video providers with embedding capabilities. If you want to host your own videos instead of using a provider like YouTube or Vimeo, checkout the modules listed in the referenced ticket.
