Assigning status to candidates?

Hi all,

I believe it would a god feature to have the capability of assigning a status to applicants. In my scenario, all applicants will have to perform a test before being approved. I would like to have different statuses to those applicants

certified, awaiting approval, not qualified, etc.

In the mean time, those applicants who are not certified yet, cannot apply to any job,

One more thing: I noticed that applicants cannot apply for a posted job. I think the signed-in applicants should have the ability to apply for a job by clicking 'Apply for Job' button or so. Once they do this, the recruiter should be notified and has access to their updated CV.
