RSS view style not available [#1366946]

Hi,

Views RSS is a stunning module and used to extensively in D6.

In the D7 view sometimes it is available to select the style for RSS fields, but as soon as you save it says 'Format: Missing style plugin '.

Having installed and re-installed the module several times, cleared cache it's not available at all anymore.

Perhaps it is because we are not in a stable release as yet?

found that when you move <?php print $scripts; ?> in html.tpl.php to before </head> all is good.

I'm sorry, spoke to quickly but on the right track ...

A couple of minutes later again 'Format: Missing style plugin' and figure it has to do with the javascript cache

will report if solution is found ..

Yes, there was an early 7.x-1.x-dev version which was causing such problem, should not be the case anymore, especially with 2.x. Please feel free to re-open the issue if you still experience this after updating.

I tried the latest dev and can't get the feed to work:
"Style RSS Feed requires a row style but the row plugin is invalid."

So I think the problem still exists.

Style "RSS Feed - Fields" provided by this module does not use row plugin at all. If your error message says that "Style RSS Feed requires a row style but the row plugin is invalid." (and not "RSS Feed - Fields") I'd guess you have selected Drupal core's style plugin instead of the one provided by this module. Please try to replicate this issue on fresh, clean Drupal installation with only Views RSS module enabled and see if you still get this error.

Following on this, "Style RSS Feed requires a row style but the row plugin is invalid." is exactly the message when you add a new "Feed" display in your view, but do not change display plugin. You need to click on default "RSS Feed" and change it to "RSS Feed - Fields" below in "Feed: How should this view be styled" section.
