Would it be a good idea to allow different field labels to display when viewing entities versus editing entities? Sorry if this has already been discussed.

I agree that there are situations where it would be nice to have added flexibility to show different labels on edit / display. This is certainly not possible in Core at the moment.

thought just wanna share this... i was looking for the same solution and found this >> http://drupal.org/project/field_display_label

currently its only for 7, but migrating for 8 dont seemed to be much of a problem. even work with profile2.
