I had planned on seeing your presentation at the Nov NYC Drupal Meet-up but was unable to make it. Then I realized I forgot to bookmark and could not find for a while. Now that I found your project again I have both bookmarked and added this issue so I don't lose track again.

I didn't see an indication, but hope that this is for D7

You mention that you have an incomplete but working module. Any plans on committing so we can see/try the code? Or maybe working with rwohleb's code over at http://drupal.org/sandbox/rwohleb/1366334 ?
