almost every line has an !important rule, this makes no sence, I just search and replaced the file to remove them so I could theme the buttons and links.

I'd be happy to help with the css, what was the reason for all those !importants?

All the !importants are removed. The css was written by someone else, so don't know the reason for it :). Tested it and, don't see any reason for it.
