I have noticed that some website have the ability to incoporate pages from other websites as though there were created locally. There must be some technical name for it.

Does Drupal have that capability?

Are you referring to the use of the inbuilt RSS aggregator to pull in the title, summary and link of external RSS feeds into a Drupal site?

There is/was a module (aggregator 2) that not only gets the summary, but the entire text of any RSS item. This does however have some implications on copyright and SEO. Since the original site had the content first, Google and other search engines will penalise you for duplicating content from other sites.
