Here are a few ideas. I'm hoping I'll be able to help with some of this:

* A filter to limit which records a user can browse and edit
* Load default field data from Filemaker fields
* The portal feature is good in that it lets you view related data while editing a record, but what would be really powerful is the ability to add/edit related records.

What do you think? The goal is to make this thing work for end-user forms/applications.

Actually, I've always thought that the best way to do some of this stuff would be through views integration. Build a views handler so that through the views UI you can run FM queries instead of MySQL. That would be a good project.
