How to hide controlling field value on node view page

Sorry if this is not really a good question to ask here.

Is it possible to hide the controlling field value on node view page?
Because I have a controlling field called "other" and a controlled field of input text field.
I would like to hide this "other" value on the node view page when a user input something in the text field.
