I just realized that the "Read documentation" link on http://drupal.org/project/colorbox links to http://drupalcode.org/project/colorbox.git/blob_plain/refs/heads/7.x-1.x... which doesn't seem to be a valid link.

frjo CreditAttribution: frjo commentedIt seems to work well in Safari but in Firefox I get an error.
Anyone know more about this?
How does it work in other browsers?

dolly nyc CreditAttribution: dolly nyc commentedworks in chrome. the link is indeed valid--it's just that it's a link to a .txt file not a web page. seems like it's a firefox just doesn't like .txt files.

Could it be a capitalization problem? Or perhaps something having to do with permissions?

hutch CreditAttribution: hutch commentedIt seems to be a Firefox bug, 'save as' does not work either. Everything else I tried works, Chrome, Safari, Seamonkey and wget, all running on Ubuntu.

mcfilms CreditAttribution: mcfilms commentedHowever it is not JUST a Firefox bug. If you try and read http://everlastmovie.com/COPYRIGHT.txt in Firefox it displays the text file. So there is another component. If you visit http://drupal.org/project/zipcart and click on the read documentation link there, it links to http://drupalcode.org/project/zipcart.git/blob/HEAD:/README.txt. And Firefox displays that.
Interestingly that text file has colors and fonts, so it is more than a pure text file.
So, either the Colorbox Read Documentation textt file has an issue on Firefox or the server it is hosted on is serving up text differently.

hutch CreditAttribution: hutch commentedThe quick solution is to use
http://drupalcode.org/project/colorbox.git/blob/refs/heads/7.x-1.x:/README.txt
or
http://drupalcode.org/project/colorbox.git/blame/refs/heads/7.x-1.x:/README.txt
eg 'blob' or 'blame' instead of 'blob_plain'
You don't get the actual text file but an HTML file with the content of the text file embedded, good enough for reading straight off the screen. I have tested this with .txt files from my own modules.
