I currently have IMCE Wysiwyg bridge 7.x-1.x-dev and there is a new 7.x-1.0 release for it. I don't know if it is D7 core or Drush that is not seeing it, so I will be updating manually.

On further inspection (doing a diff), it looks as though drush updated all the files besides the imce_wysiwyg.info file.

I also have the same problem.

I have an old version of simplenews dev and I want to update to simplenews-7.x-1.0-alpha2 but it keeps trying to update to the latest dev.

Is this a bug or is it because I am trying to update to an alpha (if it was 7.x-1.0 would it work)?
