The option to "Do a Google CSE Search instead of a Drupal Search when a 404 Occurs" only works when "Disable auto search" is not checked.

This patch will allow the Google CSE search box to be used on a 404 response where automatic search is disabled.

Sorry. This is the patch I should have uploaded. Fixed the comment (Google CSE is not required to be the default search provider.)
