The bluemarine theme has one line of invalid CSS, as can be seen using the CSS validator.

There needs to be a unit after the "0.5" which is specified for h1-h6's margin.

Depending on how browsers deal with this, the resulting rule might have been a) ignored or b) interpreted as margin: 0. So the patch might have changed how bluemarine looks. Did the original poster check this?
