I am using heartbeat with views at the moment (which is awesome btw!) but you currently can't add a relationship for the user. I have attached a patch that fixes this. It just adds the relationship data to heartbeat.views.inc

It is handy! :) I have been testing it with the above patch this morning and all of the joined/relationship user data is working fine.
