I just installed 5.1 and I have been uploading new modules and themes to look at. The themes all seem to be uploading fine. Most of the modules, however, are not showing up in the modules list. a few are, but most aren't. At first I thought I may have been installing 4.x modules, but I checked and even the 5.x modules are not all showing up. Ideas?

If it's of any consequence: At the top of the modules page, it says "It is important that update.php is run every time a module is updated to a newer version." but I don't have an update.php. Don't know if that has anything to do with this problem, but...

Thanks! It turns out that I was putting the modules in the "core" modules directory. I hadn't explored enough to see there was a sites/all directory.
