theSift.net - new site

I created theSift.net just so my friends and I could store out links somewhere easy to get to- rather than emailing them around to each other.

The idea was... can drupal power a linkdump type site?

Answer is- yes. I had to add a few lines to the weblink module, instructions for anonymous users. We hobbled together a basic 'referer' block that we are still testing but seems to work so far. The design is an xtemplate one, but I don't know how long it will last as is. I need to stare at the page for a bit longer until i decide how to arrange the links more clearly.

But, we're up and going. theSift.net is simply a repository of funny/interesting links out there. Drupal, by the way, is pretty wonderful. Let us know what you think and feel free to submit links. Thanks,

it's always nice to see another drupal site. i noticed a little overlaping text, due to css I imagine. check it out.

i've only seen it on my own system (firefox 1.0 in windows). where was the overlapping text? let us know and ill go fix it. one thing i havent implemented is a proper profile for users but ill get around to that in the next few days (i need a break from this stuff).
