For usability reasons, we need a way to differenciate galleries, pictures and subgalleries and imagecache could be one of them

scroogie CreditAttribution: scroogie commentedI agree. I think the theme already helps, but using a different imagecache preset would be a possibility as well. As the module uses a separate view, this is easy to do. I just had no idea what the preset should do differently... Do you have an idea?

I know what preset use for my specific case, but it would be specific for a custom gallery: an image overlay with a gallery icon.
For general purpose: I would set by default the same preset as a normal gallery, and then let the users create a custom one if they need it
