interested to know if anyone has seen or used this fork of Apache Solr which is used to integrate with Solr indexes not created by Drupal
this is potentially a really useful feature, and wondering the pros and cons etc

pwolanin CreditAttribution: pwolanin commentedThe multi-site search should allow something similar, as well as possibly Apache Solr views once it's updated.
This is not a fork, but rather an added module it would seem that's implementing the Views API.

christowm CreditAttribution: christowm commentedSo after I was playing around with the passthru module, I contacted Jeremy to ask him a few questions about an error message that I kept on getting. Long story short, he also suggested Sarnia and after some back and forth on upgrading from Drupal 6 to 7, I decided to switch to Sarnia as well.

becw CreditAttribution: becw commentedI'm not sure why this was moved to the Sarnia queue, since it's related to the Apache Solr module. If you want to continue this discussion, it might make sense in the Search group: http://groups.drupal.org/search-group
