a) replace
b) delete
the classic "Drupal" icon in the upper left corner of Danland?
Instructions cannot be found in handbook

Go to block configuration and you can remove the Icon there.

Structure -> Blocks (<=== I guess you mean this)
I don't find an entry "icon" which I could remove
What EXACTLY do you mean with "block configuration" ?

You can go to Danland theme settings. Appearance > Danland > Settings, uncheck the "Use the default logo" and upload with the new one.
