This is a difficulty with the Drupal teaser system.
I have encountered similar problems when the teaser contains part of a html black - say the start of a {div} or a {table}.
I need to sort this out myself as I am creating a site that will have multiple contributors.

You need to fine tune your teaser

or change the start of some of your pages.

I think this part of Drupal should be redefined.
I think if the teaser was simply the first html element that was encountered all would be well.
If the first thing was a table - then you get ALL the table
if a paragraph you just get that paragraph.
If you want more, enclose the bit you want as a teaser in

simple, and clean!
BTW is there a module that already does this?
