I'm trying to set up a recipe section on my site and would like to add different categories for the different recipes. My taxonomy module is installed, but I do not have a "Add Vocabulary" tab in my categories.
When I look at the different modules installed, the check box next to taxonomy is checked but slightly grayed out. I also can't uncheck it.
Any idea how to fix it or what may be causing this?

Two things to check
1. Do you have other module installed, which depends on taxonomy? It can cause a grayed checkbox in admin/build/modules.
2. Are you logged in as "user/1"? Check the access rights of your users at /admin/user/access in order to have the "administer taxonomy" rigths.

yes, I am logged in as user1 / administrator. when I look at ?q=admin/user/access - there is no listing of the taxonomy module at all - but the administor has access to everything on there.
Still Can't Get It To Work
Been messing with this all afternoon, but I still can't get the Add Vocabulary tab to show up - any other thought?
