I've recently completed a new install of Drupal on RedHat 8.0.

However, when I first access the main page, I get nothing but the top and bottom navigation bars shown.

The main content is missing completely.

If I refresh the page, the content shows up as expected.

I believe this is a cookie related problem:

- deleting all cookies causes the blank main page for the first access

- subsequent refreshes show the content as expected.

I have tested this in several version of IE and also a recent build of Mozilla.

Any ideas?

I am using Drupal 4.1.0

The problem occurs when the default theme is Goofy.

Try actually *reading* the installation guide [http://www.drupal.org/node.php?id=260]. All the information required to fix your problem is in there.

Once you've done that, if you still can't figure out what's going on, how about looking at the FAQ?

Because, of course, it's too silly to actually read all the docs that are there for you now, isn't it..? Only local images are allowed.

I assume you are refering to the "User Rights" problem.

I have turned on "access content" and "access comments" for users.

I have also read the docs.

In my case, I don't even get the login bar on the side (which you do if it is an access rights problem).

I only get a top nav bar and a bottom nav bar. Nothing in between.

EDIT: Just saw your second post -- bug in Goofy theme. Thanks! Only local images are allowed.

I, erm, kind of wrote that after being up all night. Ooops. Sorry about that. Only local images are allowed.

It's a bug in the Goofy theme. If you can work out how to fix it, great. The Goofy theme has been discontinued in current CVS builds of Drupal, presumably for just this reason. I'd suggest trying another theme.
