I downloaded the Dutch translation, unzipped it and imported the .po file (there is also an installer in this package but it is unclear how one should use it, the readme.txt is empty).
In Localize I have enabled the dutch language and made it default. It tells me that about 95% of the terms have been translated, fine, but where they are: nothing at all is translated. Logout doesnt make a difference.
When I try to edit certain words then I see that the Dutch translation is indeed 'on board', it just isnt used. Could this have to do with the fact that I use the Channel Nine theme or is it something else?

Thanks.

Webmaster321: are we talking about the Dutch translation AND the Channel Nine theme?

Same problem here.
Yesterday I installed Drupal (5.1), and within seconds it works, no problem.
When I go to 'Localization' i'm going to 'import' and I upload the newest
Dutch translation (nl_po).
After that i'm getting this error:

* warning: move_uploaded_file(): SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 10204 is not allowed to access /tmp/tmp_4vUKpw owned by uid 48 in /home/httpd/vhosts/MyWebsite.info/httpdocs/includes/file.inc on line 240.
* The translation import failed, because the file could not be read.
* The translation import of failed.

What is going wrong ?
Please help...

Thanks a lot.

When I turned off safe mode, Dutch language was
working directly after importing.

I have installed the whole thing once again. Same problem and no error messages.

The problem is solved. English is apparently the default Admin language, Dutch or other languages are for the authenticated and anonymous users. Havent seen it mentioned somewhere but that is apparently what it is. Wonder if one can change it.
