I'm looking to make some backups of my current sites under an Octopus/Aegir installation before I rebuild my config on another server.

Unfortunately I can't seem to get CRON to actually run. It hasn't kicked off for days(according to https://o1.example.com/admin/reports/status) and does not respond to my attempts to kick it off manually. Is it possible for me to pull the commands that would execute the backup and just execute them manually myself under an SSH session?

BTW this is only in the junior Aegir instance(the Octopus one) I ran a backup of that o1 site from the master one without a problem.

This is Aegir, not BOA, known issue, fixed in head - #1222208: Wget method is extremely unstable and easily locks cron task completely

We will release 1.0-boa-T-8.9 tonight to address this issue.

OK I kept digging and found mention of the "hosting-dispatch" command (on /admin/hosting/queues) but am not sure where i is located. It doesn't seem to be a DRUSH option. and where is doesn't show it anyplace

I also tried updating the site to used the DRUSH based method instead of the web based one. No change so far

You should change the cron method to *drush* in the hostmaster settings for now.

Also comment out this line in /var/xdrago/usage.sh: http://drupalcode.org/project/octopus.git/blob/HEAD:/aegir/tools/auto-he...

Closing as duplicate.

Note: it is at admin/hosting/settings

Didn't mean to update status to active after you flagged as duplicate, but I must have enter on my post just a second after you did yours (the clock resolution only goes down to the minute which matched between our two posts)

I had already switch to the DRUSH method, but will also make the edit mentioned and reboot to start fresh and see what happens.

Thanks again.

Dziękuję bardzo
(Hopefully Google got it right)
