Hi Folks
I'm tinkering with GMap module on Drupal 5.1.
However when i open the "Locations" tab in my specified content type (to select a location, place a marker etc.) , i see the frame for the map, the controls etc., but no map, just a gray square.
Any ideas?
Thanks

It's really strange, everything is visible except the map data itself.

maybe your default map is
maybe your default map is zoomed in too far?

Thanks for the reply.
I wish it were that simple, that's not the case.
I also noticed when i change map type on the map, it tries to go to Google for about 1 second.
Under user profile i can see the complete map, but when i click "edit your location", no map appears.
I also upgraded location and gmap from todays (20/02) build.

Same problem
Yeah, I think the Gmap designer knows about this: the map won't re-draw if you use the collapsible menus. You can set the location map's tab to not be collapsed or collapsible, though - in the location settings I think. That's the only way to stop the grey box of nothingness, currently.
THANK YOU!

You have saved me much headache and allowed me to progress developing.
Thanks again.

Yay!
Yay for open source forums! When you actually do get a reply, it can really be great!
Good luck with it...

similar problem
I'm having a similar problem - but changing the settings suggested above doesn't fix it. The only different is that I only get the "powered by google" and "terms of use" links at the bottom of the gray box - no navigation icons or anything else. Any other ideas on what to try?

solution in my case
was to select any other marker than the default google one. I am on D6.
