Maybe I'm duplicating the issue, there is a similar request for 6.x version #979892: Improve documentation, but I'm opening this issue for documentation the D7 version.
I didn't find clear enough the description on the README.txt file (maybe is just me), but as is said here http://drupal.org/node/979892#comment-4577534 the description in i18nviews_help() seems a bit better.
Thanks to this issue #1177164: Do I need this module? i have understood how to use the module (go to admin/config/regional/translate/translate and later search filtering to the 'Views' textgroup).

There's a nice roadmap in the module page, but a description on how to use this module would be very helpful. So anybody can better understand what this module does.
Thanks.
Greetings.

r.aubin CreditAttribution: r.aubin commentedJust poking this issue since it's been a while. The module description and readme really need more details about what this module does to let users know what it functionality it adds that isn't already provided by other i18 modules and localization modules. For example, you don't need this module in order to filter views by the user's selected language.
One of the biggest challenges with Drupal is that unless you have the ability to understand the module code, it's really difficult for users to know what changed when they install and enable a contrib module.

Could someone explain how to create a view that shows the translated version of a node depending on the language, according to the URL?

DamienMcKennaSomeone wrote a README.txt file in another issue: #2849557: README needed
Too bad they missed this older issue first. Sorry.
