users editing own content

I'm trying to create new users with new roles to edit specific content. The users are able to create new content but not edit their own content (i.e. content they authored). What setting am I missing to allow them to edit their own content?

For example, I have a Men's Ministry coordinator who I want to give access to edit his content on his ministry page and no other page on the site.
