Approve but not publish

Is it possible to approve a node but not set its publish status to published??

I want to have all nodes of a certain content type sent to moderation (done) but when they are approved via de Moder8 moderation queue, I don't want them to be published, I want them to just be "approved" and unpublished.

Does it make sense? I haven't seen anything similar in the settings or the internets.
