Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
If I use metatags-7.x-1.x-dev.tar.gz 1 april right now, should I expect that is a version that works normally?
If i start putting data on it, will this work with the final version, will the schema change, will a migration then be possible?
thanks

Jamie Holly CreditAttribution: Jamie Holly commentedMeta tags doesn't have any code out yet, so there is nothing to start using now (except the module.info file).
You never know what can happen in the dev and alpha stage. It's very common for things to not upgrade properly. If you are worried about losing data once code starts showing up, I would advise to hold off until at least a beta release is made, if not the full release.

Dave ReidI would not yet recommend using the 7.x-1.x-dev until it is published on the project page once the schema and base API is in a more finalized state. Marking as fixed as I don't keep issues open for ETAs.
