We had a need on 2011.tcdrupal.org to have a session span multiple time slots. I set the time slot reference to multi value, and adjusted the template function in cod_session.module. I'll include patches in updates.

I tried out this patch, but it didn't seem to do anything. The session that spanned 2 timeslots just doesn't appear on the schedule. Let me know if there's anything I can do to test further.

You can add a session to multiple timeslots in 7.x now however I believe its causing issues with the scheduler.
