This module is great. I have a group of users who only manage users accounts. They do not need to adjust any permissions. For that, it's perfect. To keep things locked down, I want to remove the option of changing the Admin role or promoting users into that role.
Is that a feature that you'd consider adding to user_settings_access or should I create a new module for that?

I could add this feature to this module although I'm a little bit rusty at the moment.
If you have any thoughts for it, let me know.
I also need to check out Git. I haven't had chance to really use it yet.

I'll release a new 7.x-dev version over the weekend (if I can get Git to work).
I've created a new permission to hide the Admin Role form.
Potentially we could do this for other forms too.
