Could it be possible to add a new autocomplete widget for big taxonomies? I've seen this asked before (#599814: Does it replace large vocabulary select boxes with autocomplete fields?) and I think it could improve your module since it's a really helpful for obtaining a better looking and more user friendly taxonomy options during node edition.

There was a module wich achieve this, "Big Autocomplete Taxonomy" (http://drupal.org/project/batax), but it has been discontinued for Drupal 6. I think it would be nice to have just a module to simplify taxonomy edition instead a bunch of modules.
