I display page/news summaries in the front page. When the text is too long, the "Read more..." text appears at the bottom. Great.

But when I view the same front page in French, there text still says "Read more...". So, I visited admin/settings/locale/string/search and searched for "read more". (I searched with "All languages" and "All strings" selected.)

According to the search results, there is only once instance of that phrase in Drupal: modules/aggregator.module:1181 modules/node.module:813 ;1441. When I clicked Edit, I saw that "en lire plus" was already entered.

So, assuming that modules/aggregator.module:1181 modules/node.module:813 ;1441 is the correct string, why isn't my i18n translator working in that once instance?

Any ideas?

Working fine on my multi-languages site. Do you use customize frontpage (i.e: using View to create new frontpage)? How do you switch to another language (in my site, I am manually add 2 URL for each flag)?

I hadn't even looked at the Adminster -- Views section until you mentioned it! So, no, I didn't change any settings in Views.

Here is some clarification on my setup:

* Drupal 5.0
* i18n module installed
* Views module installed
* My main English page is /node
* I figured out home to rename it /welcome
* I didn't realize that /frontpage would accomplish the same
* My frontpage isn't customized
* I switch to the other language using the Translations block (not the Language Switcher block)
* All my other customized French text (ones that I added myself in Strings) won't well, including the Events (calendar), Poll, and so on
