All text output should should meet minimum contrast guidelines [#1140046]

This theme is not accessible due to minimal color contrast in certain locations.

Use the Style Guide module to preview the most common Drupal output in this theme. There several occurances of light text on a white background and black text on a dark background.

If I understand correctly, the major accessibility issue on the style-guide page is caused by css rules coming from Style-Guide's style sheets and not bartik's - I've opened an issue about it in #1142982: Misleading styles.
there is another minor contrast issue with chrome's file form-item which I believe to be a chrome issue (they shouldn't override text color) and I can't fix without breaking other browsers upload-form-item or inserting some kind of dirty browser specific hacks.
That is all I could find, If there is something else I would appreciate a screenshot and more details about browser/OS, thanks.

You were right about the Style Guide CSS causing some of the issues, but there's still a problem whenever this theme is seen within the overlay. Using a light color to override #overlay_content seems to fix the remaining issues.
